The fate line (also called the Saturn line) is not universal. Some people have a deep, clear line running from wrist to middle finger. Some have a partial line that starts or stops. And some have no visible line at all.
Traditional palmistry has often worried this absence — reading it as a lack of direction, a scattered career, or a life without clear purpose. Modern readers are far more charitable: an absent fate line can indicate a self-made path, multiple careers, or someone who refuses to be defined by conventional work.
Entrepreneurs, artists, freelancers, and people who have changed careers multiple times often have faint or absent fate lines — not because they lack direction, but because their direction was not a single straight line.
